Obviously, you have never seen youtube videos of him speaking in gymnasiums or library's because those he does not use a teleprompter. Like someone said earlier, he only uses those at really big speeches.

Also, what is the difference between having the speech on a piece of paper or on a teleprompter? It is the same thing. Bush had speechwriters, Obama has speechwriters, what is the difference? Just because Obama can read what is in front of him without talking like a 9 year old, you slam him? Are you serious?

honestly, who cares if Obama uses a teleprompter or if he tatoos all that shit on the inside of his eyelids? I care a lot more about what he does and what the results of that are. The only thing I can tell at this point is that he's still a lot better than Bush.

oookay, back on topic:
When was the last time you saw so many members of Congress so upset over $165 Million in spending? Are these not the same people who a few weeks ago said that the FEW BILLIONS OF DOLLARS of earmark spending in the Omnibus Spending Bill was "an insignificant amount of money?" How long has Barney Frank been on the House Financial Services Comm? Chris Dodd on the Senate Banking Comm?
And they DON'T know about contractually obligated bonus payouts??
Why didn't they catch Franklin Raines as he was manipulating Fannie Mae stock and walking away with $100 MILLION?
I just wonder what the hell they have been doing in Congress all these years...
Also, NY Fed Chair Tim Geithner (and Treas Sec. Tim Geithner) has been involved in ALL FOUR AIG bailouts. If this guy is soooooo smart that we ABSOLUTELY had to have him at Treasury, shouldn't he be smart enough to at least ASK about compensation??
Congress is just trying to play all of us for fools. They are telling us to be upset at $160 MILLION in bonuses while they just signed a bill with 9000 earmarks amounting to over $8 BILLION and the sad part is, people are buying this...

Imo Obama has made more positive moves for the USA already than Bush did in all his time in office . I think in some ways he can't win - if using prompts means his message comes across as he wants it to then that has to be the way to go. If he did it all off the cuff and started to mess up or pause too much he'd get caned for it i'm sure. Though he wouldn't be in bush's league who was pure comedy at times and had trouble putting a word together never mind a sentence.
If every second of what you're saying is analysed by the whole world then i think you may as well get it right - most of the time at least (just don't mention the special olympics)
