Guys and Gals, I have to hurry/leaving for short-term vacations.
I won't be back until next Tuesday, so if Get Carter is the correct answer, I would appreciate of someone else posts a new cap for me
11:48AM And that's that! We're outta here. Thanks for reading, and thanks to the amazing Blogsmith team and our Weblogs design crew for keeping this ship steady!
i hate to seem like an ass here (and probably wont make many friends with my comment) but it does amaze me that everyone gets excited regarding the os update for the iphone to fix things that most phones, in its class, already do. (aside from p2p)
ui for the iphone is bad ass, dont get me wrong, but tiresome i have become with the apple fanboys and their beleoved iphonery that act as if they have reinvented the wheel because they bought an iphone. again, cool phone, but my blackberry that is over a year old is far more dependable of a phone.
glad to see that apple got these areas fixed as now they may no longer look like the douchers of the wireless industry.
Even if it is leaked the caveat here is that you can't revert to 2.2.1. Your device is locked on 3.0 so you'd have to deal with any bugs that might be present until the final.

I wonder how long before the Developer OS Beta is leaked onto a bittorrent site.
I'm also surprised that it took them 3 versions to get their OS right. If this was a Microsoft phone, you can imagine the outcry.

Oh. My. God. James absolutely obliterated the island tonight. The last time there was so much destruction, Obi Wan Kenobi had to take a seat on the Falcon after the Death Star said "hi and bye" to Leia's homeworld.
I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.
so it's been a year now right? They haven't released a new version of the phone yet. I thought apple did revisions of their gear around once a year. Other than the computers, which is every 2-3 years.
Yeah I am hoping for a new model before getting one ... hope they come up with a unibody for the iPhone like the notebooks.

The AppStore was worthy timeout from OS revisions in my opinion. Cut/Copy/Paste was worth waiting for but now that they got it right I trust Apple will get more folks to switch.

AT&T has confirmed a report that it will offer iPhones without a two-year contract starting next week.
The Associated Press quoted an AT&T representative Thursday confirming plans to sell no-contract iPhones for $599 or $699 starting next Thursday, as first reported Wednesday by the Boy Genius Report. There's a catch, however; those phones will still be locked to AT&T's network.
A regular AT&T iPhone account will be required to operate the phone, although theoretically you could activate the phone one day, cancel your account the next, and only be out activation fees and a month's worth of service, rather than two years worth of service. But then you'd be reduced to using your expensive iPhone over just Wi-Fi networks unless you're willing to unlock it for other networks.
An Apple representative did not immediately return a call seeking comment on whether a similar offer would be in place at Apple's retail stores, which the AP was also unable to confirm.
its out and i've just got it updated .... first gen iphone still cant mms but the rest of the new features are pretty sweet .... cut and paste and sms forwarding are finally here
