Over a year in the making comes a progressive remix EP for Roger Martinez's "Cosmopolite", originally released in 2008 on Proton Music's "Retrospect EP" and also featured in Ricky Ryan's Discomaniacs series on Sick Watona. Since then, Roger has been signed to some of the scene's biggest labels: Ultra, Toolroom, Baroque, Electronic Elements and even remixed Tiesto for his own label, Magik Muzik.
First up on remix duty is Chris Nemmo (Klik, Vapourise, Tilth, Restart) with a lush, big room progressive remix with a strong analog production style that has garnered him support from Kosmas Epsilon, Eelke Kleijn, Joel Armstrong, Greg Benz, Trafik, Miss Nine, and more.
Up second is a remix from Derek Howell (Bedrock, Global Underground), one of Progressive House's most established names dating back to his EP releases on Bedrock and #1 best-sellers on pre-Beatport scene site, EDMDigital.com. His music has been supported by the progressive's tops jocks including Nick Warren, Anthony Pappa, Jaytech, and Shiloh.
Third on the remix EP's tracklist is Proton's progressive main-stay and Netherlands producer Gerwin Koudijs with a dubby progressive cut. His music has been supported by the likes of Jay Lumen, Micah, and Andrew K. Gerwin has been featured heavily on Jay Epoch's Proton Particles since the label's inception.
Finally comes a remix of "Prime Time", another track off the "Retrospect" EP. Smardminds, 1/2 of Fine Taste with Johan Vermeuluen, delievers a quirky progressive remix that turns the dark, pounding original on it's head for a more upbeat approach. Smartminds has been played on Proton by DJs such as Add2Basket, Jay Lumen, and Eelke Kleijn.
