    PAXAHAU ANNOUNCES FIRST 35 PERFORMERS FOR MOVEMENT 2009; THE PRODIGY TO PERFORM AT MOVEMENT OPENING PARTY MAY 22
    Weekend passes for Movement 2009 May 23-25 cost only $35 from now until March 21.




    DETROIT, March 18, 2009
    - Afrika Bambaata, Bassnectar, Carl Cox, Derrick May, Francois K and
    Z-Trip are among the partial list released today by Paxahau of
    electronic music artists scheduled to perform at Movement 2009 May
    23-25 on Hart Plaza in Detroit. The Prodigy will perform at The
    Fillmore on May 22 for the Movement 2009 official opening party.



    “Every year our goal is to build upon the success of the previous year
    by bringing the best available local, national and international talent
    to Detroit in order to create a weekend experience unlike any other in
    the World,” said Jason Huvaere, president of Paxahau. “Our team spends
    a lot of time selecting artist and DJs that will appeal to electronic
    music enthusiasts. This year there will be a major Detroit presence at
    the festival as well as some performers that rarely set foot on stage
    in the United States.”

    Movement 2009 organizers say more artists will be announced in the
    coming weeks. “We are in the process of finalizing many more artists
    for the festival,” said Huvaere, “but we wanted to give electronic
    music fans an idea of the performers we have already secured for this
    year’s event. Festival-goers can expect to hear more announcements

    Weekend Passes for Movement 2009


    Movement 2009 weekend passes go on sale today through Saturday March 21
    for only $35. The weekend passes give electronic music fans access to
    the festival May 23, 24, and 25. After Saturday the weekend pass will
    be available for purchase for $40. The weekend passes can be purchased
    online at www.paxahau.com.


    The Prodigy Invades Movement 2009


    The Prodigy will play the official opening party for Movement 2009 at
    The Fillmore in Detroit on Friday, May 22. The doors open at 7 p.m.
    Tickets for the official opening party go on sale Friday, March 20.
    Early bird tickets for this all ages show are available starting at $20
    by visiting livenation.com or wantickets.com. VIP tickets are
    available. The group that has had major hits with FIRESTARTER and SMACK
    MY BITCH UP is back on the road in support of their new album INVADERS
    MUST DIE which reached number one on the UK charts. This is their first
    US Tour in eight years. ”The Prodigy is straight up electronic music
    with a rock attitude,” said Huvaere. “This is sure to be an awesome
    kick-off to an amazing weekend of electronic music in Detroit.” House
    Music producer and DJ Anthony Attalla will open for The Prodigy at The
    Fillmore. Chuck Flask, Paxahau Resident DJ and Evan Evolution will be
    performing in the State Bar.

    Paxahau to Promote Movement 2009 Lineup at Winter Music Conference

    DETROIT, March 25, 2009—Anthony Rother, Benga, Glitch Mob and Marc
    “MK” Kinchen are among the list of 25 more names released today by Paxahau
    of electronic music artists scheduled to perform at Movement 2009 May
    23-25 on Hart Plaza in Detroit. Last week the producers of the Memorial
    Day weekend festival announced an artist list of 35 which included Afrika
    Bambaataa, Bassnectar and Carl Cox.

    “As I’ve said previously we spend a lot of time selecting artists and DJs
    that will appeal to electronic music enthusiasts,” said Jason Huvaere,
    president of Paxahau. “And I think with the addition of these 25 artists
    we have done a good job of putting together a solid mix of local and
    international performers to take the stages at Movement this year.”

    The announcement of these artists comes as representatives from Paxahau
    head to the 24th Annual Winter Music Conference in Miami. This four day
    event is considered to be the premier networking event in the dance music
    industry, attracting professionals from more than 70 different countries.
    Every aspect of the industry is represented at this event. “Winter Music
    Conference is our unofficial deadline to lock down the majority of our lineup,”
    Huvaere said. “We go down there to meet with industry professionals and
    promote the Movement festival as well as the city of Detroit.”

      Sven Vath was amazing...he played a god damn killer set...ended up going to that and came to at like 10 am in some whore house in south Amsterdam...no idea how I ended up there...friday was a bit of a blur got really drunk and visited several parties can't remember a whole lot to be honest hehe...saturday was probably the best day that I recall...started up in the nearest coffee shop and going from party to party...beautiful woman, beer and weed...finished the night by taking some shrooms and listening to an amazing elke kleijn set...sunday...i met a nice girl who worked at one of the coffee shops and ended up talking to her for like 6 hours...was supposed to meet her at some DnB party...but instead went for a steak and walked around red light district bars drinking and smoking...monday took it easy went to a coffee shop and took a taxi to airport....

      All in all...I think I will be going back there some time soon
