PURR Debut on Proton TODAY w/ Guest JAMES ZABIELA

    Hey everyone...long time no talky.

Things from this corner have been ?rather quiet? lately, but for very good reason. As most of you know by now, Tonic shut its doors in September without the opportunity for a proper send off, and, while we were gutted that it had to end so abruptly, I?ve truly enjoyed the limited hiatus. I must have tried 6-7 times to post a thread about it, but never could bring myself to hit "send".

Some great things are in the works though, and I can hardly wait to see many of you again soon.

    Now for some interim news?

I?m excited to announce that, starting next week, I?ll be hosting my own monthly 3-hour Proton Radio show called PURR.

The link for the show page is RIGHT HERE. It airs the 4th Tuesday of every month from 6-9pm EST (-5 GMT), starting November 23, 2004.

    First guest is James Zabiela.

This is a LIVE recording from our LUSH party in March 2004, when James was red hot off a week at WMC and some massive gigs in Miami. Although from earlier in the year, this set has NEVER been aired or even mentioned in public, so YOU MUST LISTEN HERE TO HEAR IT FIRST. Many thanks to James for taking time out of his busy schedule to send this to us for play.

For this first broadcast, we?ll lead in to James? set with my LUSH warm-up in August 2004 for another one of our all-time favorites, Lee Burridge, who showed up unannounced the night before he was to officially play Charlotte. I haven't put this one up on my ftp yet either, so it should be new to most everyone. Hope you like.

We?ll have plenty more guests contributing to the show in the months to come, so stay close! As much as possible, we?ll bring you LIVE sets from our djs. (Read more about the show concept HERE)

Happy listening and stay tuned for more great announcements shortly!

    All the best,

    g.

i like cats. my cat's name is Fluffy. she is about four years old. she was actually born in my roommates closet and along with many other brothers and sister. i was originally going to keep two of the kittens, but one was very bad at controlling it's blatter, so i had to give it on to a family that could properly handle the training.
Fluffy is respectful and a likes to play with her bell-on-a-string. i guess you could say i love her.

Oh! I love cats too! I saw this Persian the other day and he was so nice and fluffy! I just wanted to hug him in my arms forever! Too bad he took a shit in my hand, slashed my face and pissed on my shoes before he left!

      I miss him.

Greg, Nice work on getting the show.

I had thought that the guy who owned tonic had a thing about closing down a space after so long and re-doing the whole inside then opening it back up again. I guess he must have changed his mind???

I hope your show does many great things.

                  Cheers Mate!
