I like his Nubreed, renaissance everybody and this is everybody albums, - still play them - disappointed with his on tour album so havn't listened to his new stuff
The largest room in the world, is the room for improvement!
I just want to point something out here. Sander used to be a highly rated dj. Still is. But man, put out an album or so that just terribly deviates for what you're known for, and people stop tuning in. I think this shows two things. One, sander needs' to lose the benassi-esque feel to his music. And two, I think this says a lot about sasha, digweed, and others who have really pushed thier sounds, but never strayed to far to push people away...ergo...thier notariety has greatly increased over the last decade.
One of the best dj nights i've ever had was with Sander behind the decks , on 2007 in Lima, the place was smalll , but packed and the sound system was shitty but the guy came in and delivered madness for 4 hours
aaaa...sander @ lima peru is one of the best sets ever! You were there???

I still remember seeing him @ Icon in Orlando when his Nubreed first came out, that set was unbelievable. I also remember catching him at the Mark ultra lounge in Atlanta when Digital witchcraft opened for him, that set was freaking intense. Sander is a great Dj/producer when he wants to be. I have no complaints with him. People go through phases, but if they are truly talented then they will always have the ability to totally own the floor. Unlike half of the crap that people have raved abou the last couple of years. 80% of the more recent stuff is 100% forgettable. This year seems to have some hope though.

/diatribe.
Absolutely not true. Of all the DJs, how can you point out Sasha and Digweed and said they have not strayed far? These two, especially Digweed, have one of the most evolved sounds around. Surely you've heard their Renaissance and GUs and live sets from the 90s, and you heard Digweed spend a year playing that electro crap on Kiss before finding his groove again?
It's not so much sticking to what you're known for, but putting together good tunes in your own way, the good tunes being a reflection of what's being produced and what's out there at any time. Sander was playing and producing crap, simple as.
And these reactions to Sander K is not a reflection of how he sucks, but how much better he should be. You don't produce something like 4 Seasons or that 2001 EM or Deeper Water remix, and then not only change sound but all of a sudden sound like he's lost his ear for music and melodies. I said it before, how the fuck do you go from My Lexicon to The Fruit? It's abysmal. He's the fruit, man.

Oh. My. God. James absolutely obliterated the island tonight. The last time there was so much destruction, Obi Wan Kenobi had to take a seat on the Falcon after the Death Star said "hi and bye" to Leia's homeworld.
I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.
it IS incredible isn't it??
STILL pumpin out great set after great set...never cheesed out, never sold out, never lost his touch..
Simply does not get any better than Hernan
after the magic beat the knicks game i headed over to firestone (of all places) in Orlando to hear sander kleinenberg, and well... it was decent. A fair amount of banging house, but the visuals were so poor that it was hard to get into, he was incredibly animated though, very lively, dancing and acting like he was having a blast...he did enjoy the crowd though and I can't blame him they were clearly thirsty for some decent house music...it had the heir of Tijuana, Mexico, which was good and bad...smokey, a bit shady and grimey...
I absolutely hated the words from several of the tracks being displayed on the screens, that was new to me and rediculous...the obama video was kind of cool, all in all I can't wait for WMC...evidently by my attendance this evening...
The last few songs were just silly, very commercial toward the end it was like Tiesto house. again, crowd loved it then again it was 18+.
I'm pretty buzzed at the moment, so take this with a grain of salt... in the end it was nice to hear banging house music vs. the f*cking sh*t hip hop and mariachi this town seems to be known for.
