I think it was enjoyable up to a point and yeah, the action would look better on a big screen but what doesn't? The movie was full of cliches. What's with that lame moon anecdote, and the lame dialogs? That scene where Wolverine was undergoing the Weapon X program was terrible: 'I've been been through worse.' 'No you haven't.' WTF.
As a comic book mutant spin-off, they tried to cram too many powers into too many supporting characters that aren't worth the screen time, and some of these characters have no comic book history that I was aware of.
Also some of these characters don't belong in that timeline (and Gambit looked like a cheap Johnny Depp Willy Wonka rip off), and what's with Professor X showing up at the end? A lame attempt to tie this movie in with the main X-men franchise.
