I put this in the lay off thread but I'm mad so I'm posting it in it own thread
My employers are CUNTS.
They where approached by one of the local collages after it was announced we would be laid off for 4 months. The collage said it would arrange loads of courses for employees to do while we where laid off. Anything from IT, Construction, HGV, Business Management etc and Maths & English. The company said it wasn't interested. The collage then approached our Trade Union with the same offer. The Union agreed and set up 3 open days for Associates to attend. I enrolled in 3 IT courses + Maths & English and was due to start next week. I phoned up today to find out that my employer has to sign off for the college to get the funding from the government has refused. They have also told the collage that if they continue with the courses they will fail to do any business with the company in the future. My employer funds a technical training programme with the college and as one of the largest employers in the area the collage cant afford to lose their business. So all our courses have been Axed
