That raw meat thing is so important!! I used to go to a place that used to put the pita bread on top of the cooking meat to heat up.

Chanty , the hydration thing is probably the most important thing . Do you have lucozade??

Yeah, we've got a drink called gatorade. Don't know if it's the same, but I've had a big bottle each day for the past 2 days. Gives you back all of the electrolites. I ended up taking imodium yesturday and the runs have stopped but now I can't stop tooting.
I could fill up a hot air balloon.
I've finally gotten 6 straight hours of uniterupted sleep. Bliss.

oh man you sure had a violent reaction to it. I'm glad its stopped now (even partially). To make the tooting enjoyable, record 'em, loop 'em and play 'em while it lasts

Just for future, Pepto Bismol is the way to go on food poisoning interms of at home remedies. A lot of food poisoning is caused by toxins released by bacteria (E.Coli and such, the cause of traveler's diahrrhea and the like). The mechanism exactly of how pepto works is not fully understood, but one of the things it does do is bind these toxins in the gut and prevent them from being absorbed into the mucosal lining (where they stimulate the release of electroytes into the lumen of the gut, which causes water to follow --> diarrhea (cha cha cha).

A typical bout of food poisoning should run its course in about 3-5 days. If it doesn't resolve, or it you start seeing blood in your stool, see your doctor as its possible you could have picked up a parasite infection which will require additional treatment. But if its a vegetarian dish you ate, that's a little less likely

I tried pepto bismal, but I think I took it too late, as it didn't have any effect and it was a vegie roti that I ate, so hopefully this will run it course and be over with soon!

i find stuffing food on top of it tends to resolve things by adding weight to the offending item. hence dispeling it!
