Tell you what, I've had fast food maybe 4 times in the past 8 years, and I don't ever plan to try the Thickburger, but thank god somebody has enough balls to offer this type of product.

We've become prisoners of our own political correctness and unwillingness to accept responsibility for our actions, a condition which is reaching epidemic proportions in this country. "Super Size Me" had the (unintended?) consequence of limiting our choices. Instead of having the right to practice our own self control, we are now victims of corporate censorship by removing these products from the market.

Smart marketing move by Hardees to usurp the ground evacuated by all those other gutless fast food chains. There are people out there who want this shit, and this is the United Fucking States of America where if I want a 10,000 calorie burger, than I better goddamn well be able to get one.

i was thinking Subway when i came in
i think i'll go with the 'supersize me' recommendation,
seeing that my appetite has already been ruined.

good...you can then pay the ridiculous hospital costs of heart surgery later on in life...if you can even afford it.

Not worth $5.49 if you ask me...

Oh yeah, I'm all for supply and demand, commerce, and eating. However, grossly fat people are an eye sore! An ex-girlfriend said to me once: "it's not their fault they're fat."

Bless her heart. She was quick to defend obesity until I asked who was to blame for the 40% of Americans lacking self-control?
She's probably at Hardee's right now.

Kobe- I'm with you all the way here but I remember when I was little McDonalds had a such thing as a small order of frys. Before they stopped the supersize option, the smallest order you could get was what was the largest when I was a kid. I agree that people should excersicse self control but when the future generations are raised on larger and larger portions large intakes are considered 'normal' to them. Add to the fact that most kids are told to finish what is on their plate. So I think the industry holds some responsibility here in cutting back their portions... you still have the option then just to order double but then its a concencious choice.

Besides I think the food industry should be eager to make that change, since smaller portions = more $$.

perhaps there is a happy median in there? Again, I find fast food vile, regardless of portion. I just don't like this idea of surrendering freedoms, sacrificing options.
