Made Event presents Armin van Buuren to the Roseland Ballroom on Saturday, April 4, 2009. Armin returns to New York City after a sold-out Halloween show at Roseland that culminated in a confetti parade upon costumed revelers. This Spring, expect a full-scale production with customized Integral Sound, along with spectacular lasers & lighting effects that are sure to further cement Armin van Buuren’s legacy as a crowd favorite, as well as a true ambassador for all things trance.
Armin van Buuren has been named number one in the prestigious DJ Top 100 poll twice in a row, in 2007 and 2008– voted for by over 350,000 people across the world, as an indication of his prolific output over the more than 10 years he’s been DJ’ing and producing. His other recent accolades include; winner of the Dutch Buma Culture Pop Award 2008, and voted as the Best Trance Artist in the Beatport Music Awards judged on the musician’s artistic achievements, national and international success. It is evident that Armin van Buuren has become one of the decade’s most influential trance acts.
Armin van Buuren’s third artist album ‘Imagine’ entered the Dutch Album Top 100 with a number one position, and was therefore the first dance artist in Dutch music history to accomplish this. ‘In & Out Of Love’, the second single of the album and a collaboration with singer Sharon den Adel, was the most viewed official Dutch music video on YouTube. With more than 13 million views, the track still holds a steady position in the worldwide charts.
Armin’s influence extends beyond the DJ booth with his prolific hit radio show “A State of Trance” is in its 7th year and broadcasts on a massive 40 FM stations as well as satellite and internet to over 6 million listeners a week.
