The Cannibals are beset with Spring fever and the only cure is more techno. The weekly Saturday series continues with another month of stellar global talent, superior sound, and exceptional music. Joining the good fight for enlightenment is Sunday School favorite Mr. C with resident Adultnapper, Berlin-based Italian Touane, Spanish Minus artist Paco Osuna, and the return of resident Matthew Dear. The upstairs at Rebel will provide the intimacy of a small dance boite, along with exceptional sound with a complete new sound system installed and engineered by Integral Sound.

APRIL 4 ADULTNAPPER & MR. C - POST SUNDAY SCHOOL
Mr. C may have been best known for his role as the frontman for The Shamen, but his trajectory as a DJ and top-purveyor and proponent of the tech-house sound has catapulted him into international underground DJ stardom. As co-owner of London’s beloved The End, the club’s recent closing has propelled him to go west and has landed him in Los Angeles. His production partner and fellow Sycophant Slag, Adultnapper has been climbing the ranks of the global techno market producing highly acclaimed records for Audiomatique, and his own imprint Ransom Note. He is also one of the esteemed cannibal residents and together with Mr. C, this week’s post Sunday School party will be a battle royale between Degenerates vs. Cannibals. Special $5 admission with your Sunday School For Degenerates 2009 wristband!!!

APRIL 11 TOUANE with CONNIE
Touane is Berlin-based producer Marco Tonni whose floor-oriented, yet funky series of 12"s have caught the attention of big-name DJs. Signed to Stewart Walker’s Persona Records, his tracks have featured in mixes from Richie Hawtin, Troy Pierce and Steve Bug among others. He is known for his efforts to cross boundaries between jacking rhythms and deepness and has carved out a niche for himself making classy techno for dance floors and afterhours alike. New York native and techno femme fatale, Connie is a familiar face behind the decks in the underground scene and with her first release on Airdrop and “Ladie’s Night” at Halcyon Records, she is one techno temptress to watch.

APRIL 18 PACO OSUNA with DEEPAK SHARMA
Paco Osuna’s cannibals debut is hotly anticipated after a snowstorm canceled his last NYC gig. This Spaniard is well known for his impeccable programming and creative use of effects peppered through his high energy sets. Paco is on top of his game these days, with a slew of remixes and original production forthcoming on Mindshake, Remote Area, Plus 8, and Spectral. Hidden Recordings headman Deepak Sharma will be on opening duties, showcasing the newest unreleased cuts from his imprint.

APRIL 25 MATTHEW DEAR with ERIC CLOUTIER
Matthew Dear is today's electronic music renaissance man; as an electronic-music innovator, a globally recognized DJ and live performer, and the founder of acclaimed electronic dance-music label Spectral Sound (sister imprint to Ghostly International). While also a heavily-in-demand remixer for artists such as Chemical Brothers, Hot Chip, Ellen Allien, Liquid Liquid, and Dubfire, Dear also produces for Spectral as Audion, Richie Hawtin’s Minus imprint under the moniker False, and for respected minimalist label Perlon as Jabberjaw. For his return to Save the Cannibals, resident DJ Dear will lead an intimate journey into cutting edge dancefloor music. Also a Detroit native son, Eric Cloutier will be starting the night off with his own eclectic blend of minimal and techno.
