all you people fiddling around with panoramic images should give autostitch a go: http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~mbrown/autostitch/autostitch.html

it's a very fine piece of software, you just feed it with a series of pictures and it creates a nice big one out of them. it even reduces the vignetting distortion and can handle different exposures on the source pix (to a certain level).

if you want even better results you'll have to "stitch" (that's what the process of combining the images is called) them manually, which will take hours to days (depending on how many source pictures you took).

i made some panoramic images myself... i'll append my best shot (so far) - just take this notice from me before you click on the thumbnail: it's huge (26mb).

they do look rather good in thumbnails already... at least i can't make out single pictures
