    Ripping audio from a DVD

Hi gang. What's the best way to grab some audio off a standard movie DVD? I've got a G5 with a superdrive.

    Cheers,
    Alex

PS - e - should this be in djing and producing?

probably should be in the producers forrum, but here's how i do it...

    1. install Total Recorder to your computer. once its working properly play the dvd (skipping forward to what you want to extract) and record it with total recorder. TR automatically rips to WAV file so you may need some sort of converter. although once you encode to mp3 you lose a bit of quality

    2. hook up your dvd audio OUT to the in-line on your computer. rip what you want off the dvd with total recorder or sound forge (or any recording device for that matter)

    hope this helps.
