History
"Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens, turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly".
According to Genesis, Sodom and Gomorrah were two cities destroyed by God in The Bible. In Christianity and Islam, their names have become synonymous with impenitent sin, and their fall with a proverbial manifestation of God's wrath.
