Weird how some of the nerves are overactive, you would think there would be nerve loss, strange, either way some fantastic news, wearing earplugs in the club cuts out so much of the highs and mids, any suggestions some good ones or just wait for the cure?Originally posted by ShpiraSo came back last night...
Sven Vath was amazing...he played a god damn killer set...ended up going to that and came to at like 10 am in some whore house in south Amsterdam...no idea how I ended up there...friday was a bit of a blur got really drunk and visited several parties can't remember a whole lot to be honest hehe...saturday was probably the best day that I recall...started up in the nearest coffee shop and going from party to party...beautiful woman, beer and weed...finished the night by taking some shrooms and listening to an amazing elke kleijn set...sunday...i met a nice girl who worked at one of the coffee shops and ended up talking to her for like 6 hours...was supposed to meet her at some DnB party...but instead went for a steak and walked around red light district bars drinking and smoking...monday took it easy went to a coffee shop and took a taxi to airport....

So white-middle class Americans have been told by their Television sets to be fearful of:
1. Mexicans/Latinos from the South bringing drugs and killings n' shit.
2. African Americans cause mos def they are raging a race war and want to occupy America like how the plebs occupied Wall St.
3. Iranians/Afghans/Any one of middle eastern origin to be quite frank, cause you know Islam...

Re: FAO AntonyM
personally, i just buy cheap disposable ones. would I get some professional ones? absolutely. I think they only cost about 150 or so for a pair. I suppose if I was doing a lot more production and a gig here or there, I could warrant the costs. But right now, all I have is an mp3 player and my laptop...nothing worth having those professional ones for.Comment

Guess once the noise is there does it matter, but can seem to handle too much volume very little now, off to the old folks home
even the local club can be a bit much, a concert, oh boy too much.Originally posted by ShpiraSo came back last night...

Yeah but in Vegas, don't always get great DJ so when they swing through town, it becomes involuntary, have to go, another drag is my work as a cameraman for live concerts, we have to wear a headset and those things are always crunchy/static sounding, plus the music, but hey, as for pro earbuds, spent the extra money for some fitted ones, have a bunch of audio engineer friends, who put me on to an audio ear specialist, he just told me I was fucked but sorted me out with some sweet earbuds,Originally posted by ShpiraSo came back last night...

Not sure, actually it is funny cause the ringing is loudest thing I hear when no one is chattering on headset, think the ringing is an inner ear thing, damn nerves are working overtime, anyway probably not going to stop listening to music anytime soon, hopefully they figure out this ringing in the ears soon.Originally posted by ShpiraSo came back last night...

Re: FAO AntonyM
nice article.
my tinnitus has been subtly getting worse, yet its still very faint at my young age. i find at this point, that re-directing my focus and withdrawing my brooding from listening -- while im listening, has helped me negate it. i spent a lot of time playing in a band while i was younger, and listening/djing, but now i quench my hearing less and less because of over-adhering/raging to all the sounds; it has dun its damage. silence and spontaneous movement has helped.
i wear earplugs when i go to joints.(((( }-d|-__-|b-{ ))))Comment

Re: FAO AntonyM
Same here! Earplugs are a must for me, I can't do without them. Except for last friday with Sasha and Digweed, I forgot them and boy did I pay. But it was sooooo worth it. My tinnitus has been bad for years sometimes worse than others but it seems that reading lips is a way of life for me now.Mutations presents Change The Music

Re: FAO AntonyM
That would be great if they could fix/reverse tinnitus. I have a friend with it and I can't even imagine going through that.
Earplugs are a must for me when clubbing...never leave home without my ER-20's (very reasonably priced too....think they were about $20-30)

listen to that. I keep it on my computer when i'm not listening to music. just for ambient noise. there are some other good things on there (even a white noise generator).Comment
