GOP Budget Proposal

OK, so this is obviously supposed to be a comical take on the whole situation, but am I correct that the Republicans released their counter budget proposal, but the budget literally did not contain any numbers at all? Kinda fails the "core description" test, doesn't it? It's like turning in a math test without any answers...

    The GOP in school:

You can't have manslaughter without laughter.

"Son," he said without preamble, "never trust a man who doesn't drink because he's probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl."

Yes, from what I've read, it's true that they produced a 19 page document with no hard numbers in it and no deficit projections of their plan. But we shouldn't be too surprised; these are mostly the same people who couldn't produce anything beneficial to the country for the better part of the last eight years.

I'm not saying I'm in love with Obama's spending proposals, but this is ridiculous. How do you criticize Obama's plan and make a big deal about the unveiling of your much improved plan and then... give us basically nothing? Is this a joke?

^^that's just it. I don't know anyone that is enamored with Obama's plan, with the most positive thing even its most ardent supporters can offer is that it is a "necessary evil." I don't even think Obama is that delighted with it, honestly.

It does not follow, however, that the fact that no one is happy about the current proposal means that you can present a document that purports to be an alternative budget and people will lap it up just because. It's insulting to our intelligence. Even Fox was browbeating the GOP over this, FFS -- that speaks volumes.
