went to opening day yesterday in St. Louis, where it was colder than a witch's tit. I left at the start of the ninth to beat traffic and missed the Cards' meltdown in the final inning. Totally glad I did, because at least the part I saw was fun. I would have been royally pissed if I sat in that cold only to watch them lose, in person. Finding out a couple hours later that they blew it is much easier to handle...Comment

yeah the Rays lost too, but at least it was against the sox in their park against their ace, not too bad, abd its a long season, so whatever
but, what was it? 3 home runs in 5 batters, in their park on the night they raise their WS banner, lol
i think it's a bit silly though that the Rays start the season on the road being reigning AL champs, if nothing else at least for the fact the game wouldnt have been rained out. schedule makers should look into that.
now with this late start to the season, looks like the possibilty of a repeat of the 2008 world series if a team from up north makes itComment

well we are a ways into the season and the Tigers are safely holding down first place. I must say I am happily surprised by Verlanders pitching. He is on fire right now.

rewing, I gotta hand it to your squad as they have been BY FAR the best team in the AL central in the first half of the season. I am still hopeful that the Twins can at least make a push and also make it interesting down the stretch, but the Tigers are looking solid thus far. Please god just don't let the White Sox beat the both of our teams this year...Comment
