Right i've been mixing with cdj 1000's for a year or so now and have decided its time to record a promo... however i'm really not very technical at all.
I've been trying to record the same mix for a few months now (!!!) but I keep making a mistake somewhere in the set. I can't mix it perfect all the way through and it's doing my head in!!!
I must have tried to record the same set about 20 times now and the mix might be goin well but then i'll do a train wreck somewhere or a little mistake will make me want to restart the whole thing again.

Is there a way to correct an error or start from just before the mistake without having to completely restart the mix again? Or does everyone else just record perfect mixes every time!?
My mate has mentioned Soundforge or recording to a Mini Disk and editing afterwards, but I haven't got a clue how to do this or where to start.
Can you guys offer me some advice plz!?
Thanks
