We have those guerilla marketing guys here as well calling you at home or on the mobile. Good thing is, nowadays nobody I know from work, family or friends calls me without displaying the number and I just do not answer calls anymore when I can't see the number. Here they are thinking about a law to force display the number so you can do something against them more easily. I doubt it will work though because these fuckers will surely find a new method to disturb you with their shit. The most bugging thing about the agressive marketing guys is that they would not do this if it would not be a business. So it seems that there are still enough people who buy something just because somebody calls them.

I've signed up with the FTC's do not call list, since I didn't know this would work with cellphines, but I've gotta wait for like a month before it kicks in.

I want to do something to piss these guys off, but it is irritating me b/c I've got 2-3 spoofed numbers bugging me every day.

Damn. I get this shit at LEAST twice a week. And so does everyone else it seems. I see an unrecognized area code, and knowing me I'm tempted to answer it, because you know it could be some random piece of ass that wants my sexy body. But, nope, it's the second notice that the factory warranty on my car has expired.

      YUP!

Having done some telemarketing in my day, I can tell you that this is the best way to piss off a telemarketer. You keep him on the phone for a long period of time and then don't buy anything? You've just ruined his day. You don't even have to pay attention to what he has to say -- just wait until you don't hear any more talking, and chime in with some inane question or ask him to repeat what he just said.

My question is, why have telemarketers not started using text messages? I am amazed that I have never gotten a spam text, espeically when you can do it for free over the net.

I wonder what would happen if they did and people started getting charged for received text messages....

i used to get a few spam messages here and there, but thankfully not many. any spam on my phone seriously pisses me off because it is obtrusive. i get about 800 spam emails on my gmail account a month, but i never see a bit of them because of the great spamfilter, unlike my phone i cant do this crap. i could sign up for google voice but who wants to do that just because of shitty spam, and change their number also.

Been getting very strange emails about Obama's Free Grant Money to an email address I rarely give out and rarely if ever receive any spam on...

Received a call from Phillips Morris the cig company today trying to talk to me about the new cig tax, he asked me if anyone in my household smoked, I responded "no," while thinking, how is he calling my business line anyway? wtf

It was fun while it lasted...

I can tell you exactly what would happen, I would file a class action suit against them at the earliest possible opportunity. Foisting unwanted text message charges upon people is a huge no-no, and that is the upshot of text message spam, at least until unlimited texting becomes universal. If anyone ever gets a spam text message from a recognizable company (i.e., not a Nigerian price offering you money or some fly-by-night that you've never heard of), let me know and we'll unleash the gates of hell on its ass. Not a joke.
