The fact that women choose to define themselves as female dj's or be a part of a group called "femme on decks" nullifies your cry for acceptance because you are no longer 'just' a dj you have defined your selves as female dj's...I am all for equality but you gotta practice what you preach.

Dude.. that's rather harsh... just because a dj is part of a group that clearly defines their sexuality does not mean they have to be objectified!

Women have always had to work twice as hard in the work place to be taken seriously.

Its like a textbook case of self labeling. Think what you will but I don't judge dj skills on the base of sex and I don't think that should ever come into equation. So those half naked women dj-ing are equal in my eyes to those who define themselves as women before defining themselves as dj's. I don't see the need for that particular categorisation at all. I wasn't aware of ANY sexual discrimination in the dj world...do you get less bookings because you're a girl? I would have thought not.

Anyway its just my personal opinion on the matter. I dislike pretty much all societal classifications and divissions. This is just another one on the list.

I am not soooo serious...but if we are talking about something serious like gender equality then I am...I would say I am well balanced...have my funny responses and my serious ones. Depending on the topic in question.

p.s. I had no childhood so I was forced to grow up quickly... lol
