Re: Easter Bedrock - review - kind of!

erm.... holy fuck what a night... awesome surprise to see jimmy van m warming up as i've never seen him before and expected digweed to be on from 10... john absoutely nailed it... i recognised one tune from the night (altes kamuffel) and the rest of the tunes were completely new to me...

funny to see him getting fucked behind the decks with guy j - downing triple vodka's hahaha... he was pretty worse for wear but it didn't affect his mixing!

seriously good night, completely different to Bedrock 10... crowd was friendly, jimmy, john and guy j were sound as fuck... roll on S&D!!

Lol, I am a miserable git but I know Adz agrees with me, two other mates who have been going to Bedrock sine the beginning left early pretty pissed off, and TheMightyGreg (god I hate calling him that) left at about 3am in protest!

Special, special night, made all the more special by meeting up the MS lads SimonR and Adzey (fellow long-stayers), Chunky, DZone, MAF (Glory Glory Man Utd LOL), AndyH and some of the non-MS'ers as well.... hope this isn't the last time we do a meet-up (SW4 perhaps?)....Diggers was dark, devastating, relentless....par excellence in my opinion....clearly the best sets he does is when he builds it up over many many hours...I'm sure he'll come to Dubai some point this year, but 12pm-3 am doesn't cut it for me, especially after this Marathon and 12-6 at the Guv last year....and a pleasant surprise to see JVM warm-up.....best vantage point for me was clearly above the DJ booth where I was chilling with SimonR for a bit and soaking up the view....didn't really bother with room 2 really, but would have been good to see Guy J....best moment, hard to say, there was this female vocal tune he dropped around 1.5 hours in with a very upbeat bassline....I'd have to say the remix or whatever he did of Love Stimulation.....the breakdown sent these warm waves over the dancefloor....a night that I'll never forget :-)

Am currently recovering in Cambridge right now but if there's anyone doing any clubbing in London or in the area over the next week give me a shout, would be good to have another go....

let's face it, sasha or digweed can be hit or miss if you are just drinking.

great pics and reviews, digweed sure looks like he's happy to be in his element

It was fun while it lasted...

yeah i do agree with AndyH but i did stay till the end unlike the southern softies on their home turf

i spose i was expecting too much after bedrock 10 but some of diggers transitions between songs particulary fairly early on werent that great and would of been nice having a bit more melody

Great to meet you Vish .. glad you had such a brilliant time and your great company and a cool bloke - so we'll all defo have to meet uo at some stage.

BTW ... make sure you upload/mail the photo of us with Diggers when you get a chance !

Opinions differed on his set ... obviously a Bedrock 10/10 part 2 would have been amazing, but JD felt that was a one off. So it was all new music - and a real heads down builder ... pity AndyH and the guys missed the last hour of new stuff as Diggers really let it go and played some great tracks.

I have to say that the it was so loud and the vibrating dancefloor get too much when the really heavy beats and bass-lines come in .. .no wonder the Vortex made AndyH feel sick - still it was worth changing your flight just for the classic photo !

Vish is right ... the balcony was just it bit less noisy, and was easier to take in what was being played and appreciate it - Diggers was working like a wizard. A few more vocals, breaksdowns and killer tracks would have been sweet - but I had a great night. the proof will be how the set sounds if some of it comes out.

Here some professional pics (not mine I might add !)

Guy J saved the night for me.

Will go to the 11th b'day.

Got to say with THAT floor and when the bass kicks in, WOW!
