because i noticed on tracktor 3 the tracks will still run off slightly

Helps a lot if you set up your beat grids, doesn't matter if it's T3 or TP.

And beat matching is just a means to an end, as long as you're able to pull it off does it matter how you do it?

Most of the top jocks who have been DJing for a number of years say the same thing, beat matching is just tedious, where now they can spend that time doing more elaborate mixes.

Besides, seamless looping never hurts as well.

I had a really good laugh with this =) 15-20 seconds of pitch riding per transition is not tedious work at all, and it's a lot more enjoyable when you pull those "elaborate mixes" off at the same time

back on the track - yea, the beat detection saw lots of improvement, now it goes to .01, which means they almost never drift away noticeably in a 2+ minute transition
It comes from inside, just listen ...

I'm thinking on buying the new version of it i still have the 3.3.180

I don't want to make the same mistake , when I switched to a new version a couple years back , then had to wait for a proper version to come out and that was of my likes .

Just made the switch to traktor scratch pro, loving it so far.

What i'm looking for now is a small neat midi controller to use the effects.

I'm looking at either the korg nano kontrol or the nano pad.

Anyone got these and can say if there good or not?

^I use both the nano kontrol & the nano pad with TSP.

Both are great, if you're only going to get one I'd go with the nano pad though. The xy pad works great for FX and things

Thanks man, yep i'll just be going for one of them.

I'm not that clued up with midi controllers and stuff, are the nano pads easy enough to set up and map?

And overall the nano pad is the one? Seen JZ using it with the gater fx, looks sweet.

If it's your first time setting up a midi controller with TSP it can be a bit confusing imo. All of the parameters are text-based descriptions, so it may take you a few tries to find the right parameter for what it is that you are looking to do. It would be much easier if it worked like ableton where you clicked on the parameter that you wanted to control and then touched the button/knob/etc on your midi device.

Once you understand it though you'll see that it's quite limitless in terms of capabilities and you really can control anything and everything that you want to.

Native Instrument's TSP forum is a very good resource if you can't figure it out though. Pretty much every thing you can think of has been covered there and can be found if you use the search engine. Or feel free to ask on here, tho you probably won't get as quick as a response.
