The message this sends - Go ahead and cause the whole incident. No matter what happens because of your actions you will be punished the least.

Boy, did they fuck this one up. The Pacers get the worst of it becasue they involved the fans. Of course the fans really involved themselves, but they're not going to do anyhthing to push away their money.

This is a classic lesson in cause and reaction...bottom line. Ben Wallace doesn't completly overreact...this whole thing never happens. The fan doesn't throw the drink...Artest never goes into the stands. It's that simple. Yet Ben Wallace get the least amount of suspension???? Ummm...yeah, way to go Stern.

did you see the suspensions given to the pacers vs the pistons? that is complete and utter bullshit seeming as how dumb ape-man ben wallace started the whole fucking thing. the nba is a joke and so is their commisioner whos somehow thinks the nba will be stronger after this ugly incident. i can even go so far as to understand booting artest for the season, but suspending jackson and oneal for as long as they are suspended is fucking bullshit. are they supposed to let those dumb fucking shithead fans beat their ass while they sit back and say "hit me please. i don't want to ge fined." what a stupid league. i'm not sure how the league expects to rebound after a fight like that. fucking stupid. the nba sucks.


i feel sorry for the people of detroit that were not involved. i can not believe they boast to have the best fans in the world when in fact that was about the shittiest display of fanatacism in the face of sports (minus those beer throwing cleveland fans )

I think some people should get arrested too; the violence we've seen on that match was an out-of-the-game factor.

Are there any justice proceedments going on? A basketball court doesn't (and should never) allow you to beat up a guy without paying for your crime... I think justice should say something about that.

If I beat up a guy in USA, I'll be in jail in a matter of hours... that's for sure. Inside or outside the court, is the same thing.

i agree with the suspensions. artest is a hot-head. he was on my fantasy team last year, so i don't care if he's out the rest of this season haha. but seriously, the guy is supposed to be a professional. makes some serious $$. there's no reason for him to climb up and start beating some poor kid (who still had his drink in his hand). shows you how bright he is.
