Opinions on Mash-up

So pretty much lately I've being working on a deep tribal tech house mix , which I will post here anytime soon , I did a mashup this morning , some vocals here and there, killer snare drums, clapping and a groovie bassline.


Mashup is between Moron - kaden vs. Rabouine House - Anthony Collins

Just wondering what is everyones thought on this . Any suggestions will be of great help

Can't wait to hear this! I love tribal......unfortunately there isn't a lot of this lately.

Sorry I'm not technically inclined to comment on mash-ups....sometimes its cool and sometimes its not, it all depends on if I'm liking what I hear.

OK bro. First thing is first. Take that triplet of the hats and put it in with every 8 or 16 beats, not every 4. It get's boring quickly when doing something like that. And please do something with the intro. It really annoys me today when I hear people making 9 minute songs and the first three minutes is the intro. I didn't know the originals but it sounded ok to me. Not really my style. When I hear tribal, I want something with a serious groove to it and something that makes me blood hot thinking of drum circles in the hot desert night air.

Thanks Jeffrey for the feed back ,The original track has a way more dry sound to it, this track was made basically to fit into my mix with a bit more groove to the basslines , like you noticed there are alot of breakdowns , they were intended just to see in what part of mix can I blend this in , most likely at the beginning. My main concern was the sound, you said it was ok , its all good then

well considering that both Steve Lawler and Tenaglia said that the way to stick out in times like these is to do your own edits of tracks you spin. That way your sets have a flavor that people can't get anywhere else.

And yeah the sound was good bro.
