The only time that happens here is the first tuesday in November and then only in Melbourne metropolitan area. Personally I like that our public holidays are Monday or Friday

I just love how a company will tell all their employees that they are losing their jobs in Feb of 2011 because they aren't renewing a contract. Then when asked if they are actively looking for another contract the employees are told that it's "in the works". Hope you give great severence packages!
yes unfortunately. had just started the job too. had not done anything in a really long time and "celebrated" that I had got the job. less than a month of working there the computer randomly picked my name to for a urine test. my boss had to drive me to take it, so there was no time to study for said test. ugh, sick to my stomach. nothing worse than losing your job the day before your birthday, not to mention bad time of the year to be unemployed much less the job market here is shit. goodbye mary jane, I shall miss you ever so.
