It seems like working is basically selling your time (and life) for money. It really depends on how important money and the stability it provides are worth. I'm trying to be a doctor (doing med school applications now), but its scary committing to 5+ years of schooling. Like many things in life, I'm taking a leap of faith.
Thanks for the advice guys. I've always wanted to read some of Dale Carnegie's books, but haven't gotten a chance to yet. I was raised with a Catholic background, but I can't seem to put my faith in a god. I think I'd be happier if I did, but I feel like I'd be burying my head in the sand if I disregarded my views on the world/universe. I've been reading about Buddhism though, and it really seems to resonate with a lot of ideas that have been floating around in my head. I'm interested in learning more about different religions, I feel like there are a lot of great philosophies and ideas to be learned from each.
^ Somewhere interesting sounds better than bland and overpriced to me. :o
Going to church doesn't make you any more a Christian than going to the garage makes you a car. Your beliefs don't make you a better person, your behavior does. Your words mean nothing if your actions are the complete opposite. Having true faith in whatever it is you believe must be shown through actions, believing is only half the battle. Let your dreams be bigger than your fears, your actions louder than your words, and your faith stronger than your feelings.
Swedish House music producers Daleri made the following mix, sampling the drops from 16 of the Beatport Top 100 to prove a point: They all sound the same.
