Some people get tired, ornery & heavy-laden while others get more chill, silly & light-hearted as they age. It all depends on the person, not the age. I prefer optimistic types myself (of all ages)

I think you're probably right. I just seem to know more people now probably which increases the likelihood of more negative types. And thank you, I'm both humbled and thankful my to be a father of such a great little kid.
