I'm driving a French car...

Just got my new Citroën C5 last week and my god it's a sweet ride!





Never been a Citroën fan (actually more of a hater), but when I saw the 2008 model, I was sold. Same class as the Audi A4 / Mercedes C, but much more original. Only pitty it doesn't come with the legendary hydropneumatic suspension, but yeah well... Fucking pussy wagon nevertheless

It´s the best thing Citroën´s ever done.

For this type of cars people always look to the Aud A4/Mercedes C/BMW 3 series, but if you took away the Citroën badge, no one would say it´s not up there with the premium brands.

The new Opel Insignia is also a very good car in the same segment.

To be honest, I had some problems shifting it into reverse in the beginning...

The Insignia looks great on the commercials, but when you see it on the road, it's a bit of a let down: looks pretty smallish and the rear looks like it's been copied from a Mazda design.

3. I could've settled for a C class, but that's pretty popular as well

Hmm, now that you mention it it does have kind of a Mazda/japanese look.

Anyway, I did get to try it at Opel´s own test track in Frankfurt and liked it a lot, super easy to handle and drive, great gear-shifting, confortable, interiors much better than past Opel´s, and yeah, I did get it to do 246 kms/h on the oval track.

I also got the chance to hear the designer of the car himself explain how he designed it, and it was fascinating, the guy at least made a very good impression of being very passionate and confident in it.

In fact, they had equivalent models of all the competition at the track that day (except the C class Mercedes), they were that confident, and in the end everyone agreed that their favourites of the bunch were the Insignia and yeah... the C5

I know, especially the Airspace version (cabrio) is super sexy. But on the other hand, a coupe becomes a driving garbage can with me since I'm too tired to flip the seat and crawl into the back to collect wraps 'n' shit.
