Ok so , about a year ago I went with my ex girlfriend to Peru and she went nuts buying all these stuff , she must have bought like 10 of them , I went to every single place in Lima and Cuzco and they all have this.

From what I can remember lhe first one you posted cost around 30 bucks and the tuqiouse one cost about the same , If you can find one On ebay thats costs like that good for you, because is pretty much the actual price in Peru , they have many variations ( opal , opalina, turquoise , Nacar, sodalita ) all with the same shape , of the spiral , is not that one artist designs them and sells them , they are pretty much everywhere .

They have 2 sizes (5 cm and 3 cm ) medallions , so like i said every artesan makes this.

if they don't have on display the one you are looking for you could write to them and send them the pic I'm sure they will find you the one you want, also mention to them is important to get it before Cattaneo gets to australia they'll understand because in Peru everyone loves Hernan

This very very helpful thank you!! I had a feeling this might have been the case. I googled the same of the designer and the seller here was the only place it showed as a person, everywhere else it was a type of orange That last link has some great stuff!! But not my pendant unfortunately. I Can't find mine and the closest to it is actually is US101
so still cheaper here. I would have loved a 5cm. one.

Holy crap, I've seen these cats here in Germany. I chilled and watched them play for a while. They were selling CD's and what not.

And yeah, we have those bolivians over here too... they have a crappy boombox providing the musical backdrop, they should get a drum machine too, it would be awesome to see some ghetto-windpipe-breakdancing from those guys.

Had a look around and this spiral seems to be a cultural theme, multiple artisans as haziel said. Some are definitely different quality. Strangely the ones available here is Australia seem to be amongst the best, and the good news is that I contacted the women she actually has the one I want !! I would still like it in the bigger size and I will keep looking for a while,might find a better price!! But it's great to know I can get one!! Now the shoes!!!
