When we mentioned in October that John Digweed would be doing the Fabric 20 release there was a few murmurs of surprise, but an overall air of expectancy from one of the worlds great DJs and his partnership with a series known for its forward thinking and underground approach. This excitement is continuing to build as the release date of January 3, 2005, nears ever closer. Diggers himself is eager to let this release loose, saying
"The soundsystem at Fabric makes records come alive, and I can play tracks there that I just couldn?t in any other club on the planet; they just wouldn't have the same effect. This CD is a five hour Fabric set, condensed into 74 minutes, and I hope it surprises a few people."
The mix contains 16b's kick-free re-work of Pete Moss, as well as Goldtrix? blissed-out version of Matrix & Danny J and the likes of Martin Solveig, Angel Alanis, Josh Wink and closes with the combination of Michael Mayer firing up Superpitcher's sensual 'Happiness', and Joel Mull's wonderfully weird Emico.
Keep an eye out for the RA review, Digweed tour details and more as one of the scenes pioneers takes us on a excursion courtesy of the latest in the impressive Fabric series.
