Hmmm...just read the whole thread for the first time. IMO you seem like a nice guy and I think you're under-selling yourself. Has she stopped to think how this is making you feel? I mean you are engaged and she moves out??? What the fuck is that? If a girl does that is it not natural to assume she has second thoughts? Honestly IMO you need to have a face to face conversation to establish what it is you each want in life and if your aspirations are compatible...if not - wish each other all the best or be prepared for some seriously hard work.

I know you love her and want her with you, but she's acting like a child. Just tell her to speak what's on her mind and stop expecting you to read it. That's what adults in a mature relationship do, they talk. They don't mope around in a huff, move out (throw a tantrum). The pretend to be adults and talk about whats bothering them. You work it out and thus develop a deeper understanding of your partner and you grow together. If she needs some time to collect her thoughts, fine, but a week is more than enough time to at least let you in on whats eating at her. a little peak at least, an attempt at mature open dialogue.

its all well and good to crticise. and to be honest with you everyone needs to take on board a bit of criticism now and again. However, in situations like this, its not the head that is reasoning. she feels something and hence needs to act. whether this be rational, right or fair is somewhat of a null point. she's accting on instinct and everyones instinct is different. we as outsiders can see the error of her ways, yet we dont know what she is thinking. i'm sure we have all been in situations where we have done things that to others seems irrational.

the important thing here is not to point the finger but to be here for pipey.

Has she told you why she doesn't want to live with you? Is she under the influence of some well meaning friends who've suggested she live alone and keep her own life?

pipey..at the end of the day you can chalk it down as experience. You will be surprised how much you & she will bend if ultimately you both really want this to work. What doesn't break you will only make you stronger.

All might not be lost mate ... she might be feeling pressured into responding to you and might think breaking up is the easiest option at the moment.

In all honesty she doesn't sound like she is ready for any commitment on the scale of an engagement, it won't bode well for the future. Best to let her sort herself out.

Really sorry to hear that...honestly I was kinda thinking that it might be coming when I read that she moved out after you already got engaged. You may try to talk to her and just take things slow...on the other hand (Just being honest)...she may be wanting to play the field before she settles down...if that really is the case its her loss man!!!




p.s.
In my experience women only start appreciating good guys (who treat them well) when they get older...that's why I generally tend to date slightly (notice the qualification before you fuckers start ripping me a new one) older girls.

At the end of the day Pipey, there are more good women available than good guys...

That means 2 things for you:

1) She's not right for you if she doesn't appreciate you and understand all that you have given and can offer her.

2) It is much more probable that you find a good girl other than her, than she will find a good guy thats right for her.

You can't control other people, so just focus on what you can control, which is you and how you feel and perceive the situation.
