    The UN's Abu Ghraib

    THE U.N.'S ABU GHRAIB
    By Michelle Malkin ? November 23, 2004 09:51 AM

Reuters reports on despicable acts by United Nations peacekeepers in the Congo:

The United Nations is investigating about 150 allegations of sexual abuse by U.N. civilian staff and soldiers in the Congo, some of them recorded on videotape, a senior U.N. official said on Monday.
The accusations include pedophilia, rape and prostitution, said Jane Holl Lute, an assistant secretary-general in the peacekeeping department.

Lute, an American, said there was photographic and video evidence for some of the allegations and most of the charges came to light since the spring...

So, expect to see the abuse photos plastered on the front page of the New York Times and the video replayed endlessly on CBS News, right?

    Yeah, right.

Old news man...everyone out here has known this since last year or so. It's mostly Belgian commando forces being accused. And they should be put to trial, no doubt.

There has been more stuff coming out recently, that's why the news reports have started mentioning it again. Allegations would also include that soldiers had young boys by hands and ankles, rocking them over campfires.

US-based Dyncorp employees and officers from the UN forces in former Yugoslavia were accused of taking part in trade in women from Eastern European countries and prostituting them.

Man, it's everywhere. Abu Ghraib was just blown up by the American and European anti-war lobby, easy scoring.
