I don't think Oakenfold is totally driven by money. When he started out with Spectrum at Heaven he was making such a loss within weeks of opening he and his business partner where £12,000 in dept. He let his business partner walk away from the venture without taking away any of the dept with him. He knocked out all them Goa CDs in 1994 and gave them away for free, I imagine doing a load of CDs in 1994 must cost a fair bit. Yeah his DJ fee is high but its only what promoters are willing to pay, Sasha & Digweed got the same criticism in 1997 on the American Northern Exposure Tour, they where charging £15,000. like Digweed said in Mixmag "most of them venues booked us again almost straight away". Didn't Oakenfold put that event for free on Clapham Common August 2001. I don't think its all about the money, he just doesn't sell himself short.

Raja is great - as too are shpongle - TomTom introduced me to them.

I didnt realize he was part of 1200 Mics! Like them too.

I've only heard one set by Raja Ram and it was top notch... didn't realize how old the guy is until now, he looks fit as a fiddle
