    SlimServer Personal Internet Radio Server

I haven't used it yet, but I'm itching to try it. Has anybody else used it? It turns your computer into a streaming MP3 Internet radio station... useful if you want to listen to your mp3s at home while at work.

    Free download.

Haven't heard of this one yet but I did see a guy on CNBC who works for CNET talking about another company doing this. He spoke on the legalitites, etc. I've misplaced the name right now but it should be in my history or something.

I played with the prototype when they sent it to us a while back ...

SLIMP3s rule though... Pretty cool product but the price is a little steep... I cna do the same by hooking up my camputer to my stereo system...

Stick with SHOUTcast. There is no subsitute!

frisky, you aren't the dude from friskyradio are you?

yeah, the server software is free, but the SLIMP3 stuff looked pretty expensive. Sounded cool, but I agree... I just plug my laptop into my stereo outputs and jam that way when needed
