Sasha's always been one for openers. I find it strange that a some DJ's just mix their first record in from the previous DJ's last record. I think I would want people to know I was starting if I was a DJ even if it was just a couple of moments silence before my first record.

would have loved to have been at that one! kinda reminds me of the type of set he would play in Orlando.

It was fun while it lasted...

Check Sasha set from Clapham Common Festival back in 2007... Same start..

Burma is the best track ever imo...

I lack the ego to do that. I always mix in if it's possible.

^ nah! you need to set the tempo and mood of your set!

start up tunes are some of the hardest to find!

Whenever possible means that the tempo suits me and I can start my own thing easily from that. If not I have a couple of acapellas I use.

Great vid, and what a top track.

He's always had amazing starters - Stars was amazing when I first heard it (luckily that was in ibiza too) ... plus he decided to open with Stars at the Bomb in 2004 and the club went crazy.

If Sasha opens up with Burma on Saturday night at fabric it'll be amazing !

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.

It shouldn't be an ego thing - it tells the crowd the DJ's have turned over and provides an opportunity to make an individual statement as a DJ and then build your set.
