Frank Sinatra - Live in Dublin 1991 [WAV]

It's time for a little bit of jazz, and there is nothing better than doing it with The Voice: mr. Frank Sinatra in person. This is a great concert given by mr. Sinatra in Dublin, on October 9, 1991.

Just enjoy. File contains tracks on WAV format, so there is no better quality audio, except if you have the original CD, but this format it is the original music file, so you just have to download it and enjoy.

Gotan Project - Live at Youfm Lounge - November 24th 2008

One of the most important electronic acts is French-Argentinian group that makes a fussion or blend between electronic music and tango. This is a concert they give at Paris in 2008, and shows perfectly the way they conceive music as a continuum, very close to electronic DJs sets.

[WORLD PREMIERE] Javier Torres Maldonado: Sidereus Nuncius

              Javier Torres Maldonado: Sidereus Nuncius
for 3 percussionists, 8 dancers, octophonic electroacustic system and video

This is a very special post for me, and I feel very proud to share with all of you guys. This is an absolute masterpiece of avantgarde electronic music that I share with you previous to the World Premiere, that would be next September 5th and 6th 2009 on Mexico city, framed and sponsored by both Festival Internacional Cerantino and Festival Música y Escena, both of them commisioned this work to Mexican composer Javier Torres Maldonado, Delfos Dancing Troupé, and me, as author of the lyrical conception of the whole work. Unfortunately, you can't see the full piece of work because of the format, but also because this is a multidisciplinary avantgarde work that joins most advanced technology both in electronic composition and in conception of lyrical texts, written by me into Spanish, German, French, Portuguese and English. Unfortunately also you can neither listen exactly what you may listen at the theater at Mexico city, since this electronic musica is for 8 channels and sound manipulation in real time, so many things that happen with sound spacialization doesn't occur on this simulated version for stereo, which doesn't reproduce all the things that happen with percussionists and the electronic music. But be aware. If you think you're gonna listen some similar music made by any DJ, you better think again. This is real avantgarde music, very abstract, without any melody or tonality that helps you in a traditional way. But is a great and superb music that challenges all the time.

I recently, which is means this Monday, have seen full coreography made by Claudia Lavista, daugher of international and famous Mexican composer Mario Lavista, and is simply amazing, since Claudia reproduces and reinterpretate lyrical texts and concepcion made by me, with such a skill for blend traditions that goes from Expressionist cabaret theatre to modern dance and experimentation with gravity and body movement that blows your mind.

If you are on Mexico city this is an incredible multidisciplinary work that join a group of the best Mexican artists on their fields: Mexicans Javier Torres Maldonado in composing field, Claudia Lavista and Delfos Dancing Troupée on dancing and coreographical field, Mario Villa on video conception, Víctor Manuel Ruiz on lightning, Myself, José Manuel Recillas, on Lyrical poetry and philosophical conception, Eloise Kazan on stage and costumes, Chinese-French percussionist Yi-Ping Yang, and Mexican percussionists Ricardo Gallardo and Raúl Tudón.

If you are at Mexico city for the days on which will be premiered this complex and astonishing piece, we will be pleased to receive you all at Miguel Covarrubias theater, at Ciudad Universitaria, on Centro Cultural Universitario.

SIDEREUS NUNCIUS, or The Messenger from the skies, full DVD video [DVD 2.5 GB]

SIDEREUS NUNCIUS, or The Messenger from the skies, full DVD video [2.5 GB = 50 minutes]

I'm very happy and proud to present this spectacular show that a group of friends and artists made possible through magical power of artistic creation. This is the full show premiered at Teatro Juárez at the International Cervantino Festival on 23th and 24th October on which was presented Sidereus Nuncius, a work made by kind commission of Festival Internacional Cervantino and Festival Internacional Música y Escena.

Sidereus Nuncius, or the stellar messenger, is a multidisciplinary work that blends and mix contemporary electronic music, live percussion music, poetry blends into music, improvisation poetry manipulated electronically on real time, dance, video, lightning and poetry. The work was commissioned to Mexican composer Javier Torres Maldonado, and to Delfos Contemporary Dance (leaded by Claudia Lavista, daughter of Mexican composer Mario Lavista), and the lyrical conception of the whole work was made by myself, with the helpful comments and suggestions by Javier Torres Maldonado.

What you have here is the full show as was filmed by Canal 22 on High Definition, and without edition, which is means it has not credits nor any subtitle, so you will see the full 50 minutes without any distractor of any kind. To get the full DVD file, you need to download seven files of 300 MB and one last file of almost 100 MB. Then, you need to decompress, to get the full file, and then, that file of almost 2.5 GB you need to burn it into a regular DVD, and then you can put on any player to watch it on your TV system to enjoy.

This time I share a superb live performance from non other than Latvian mezzosoprano Elīna Garanča, born in Riga in 1976. But this time what we have here is not a mp3 file but a video one, ripped from German television on ocassion of the New Year's Concert on December 31, 2008 on the Festpielhaus at Baden-Baden. She's not only a very beautiful young lady, but a superb singer, and you can look and listen her on this very special concert, singing Georges Bizet's and Giussepe Verdi's arias, among other surprises.

                      Bach ٠ Die Kaffeekantate ٠ Harnoncourt [Video 1985 & Audio 2004]

Continuing with the hard but gladly work of sharing music with all of you, guys, its time to share one ot the favorites Bach cantatas, which actually is a sort of miniature comic opera, on which a father tell her daughter that she must stop drinking coffee if she wants to get married, so she does it. But in the contract it stablishes that once she has married, she can drink all the coffee she wanted. This is the simple plot of this little marvelous work, written between 1732 and 1734. We have here two superb versions in two different type. One is an AVI movie, which belongs to the 1985 performance of the Concentus Musicus Wien with Nikolaus Harnoncourt, and the other belongs to a concert held on july 2004 by the same orchestra and the same conductor, but different singers. Both versions are great, sdpecially that of the video, because allows to you to see and have a better understanding of the plot. So just enjoy. And thanks for passing by and download the files.

Its time for another great post, and this time is Mexican tenor Rolando Villazón singing Handel arias with the superb English Gabrieli Players conducted by Paul McCreesh as part of the European tour promoting Villazón's album on Handel operatic arias. Once again, you can not only listen to him, but also watching to, since this is a rip from German ZDF Theaterkanal. Great performance both from orchestra and Villazón, one of the leading young singers in the world. As usual, one single link, without password. Enjoy!

In this astonishing concert, they played Pierre de la Rue's Missa Almana, or German Mass, dedicated to John the Baptist. An incredible live performance.
