    Are all tracks not released?

Kinda a noob question, but I don't actually know all that much about stuff as I just kinda listen to mixes and don't actually mess with singles too much....but I am trying to buy a track I first heard on a digweed set about six months ago as every time I hear it have a little ear orgasm, so wanted to own it (leagally if possible).

On Spec - Knights of Columbus. Not the original track, but the mix by Jamie Stevens, which I believe is called Voices of Columbus. I don't see this listed on either beatport or Audio Jelly, only the orginal and a remix by Guy Gerber (which is also tasty). If its not for sale there, does it mean it was not never released?

No I don't think it was ever released. Its amazing how much stuff doesn't get released even if big name DJ's are playing it.

Maybe Sting is blocking the release of it?

Which Digweed set are you referring to?

i think a lot of stuff doesnt get released because big name djs are playing it.. these guys have to have some tracks that not every knob that can logon to beatport can get their hands on

but if it's a bootleg mashup sort of thing, which it appears to be, maybe there are copyright issues

either way, this wouldnt be the first time a dj has been playing a track months if not years before it gets released

It could be his (immense) 2008 Essential Mix from Amnesia, Ibiza?

Allegedly Eric Prydz has a tonne of productions that will never see the light of day, for whatever reason... I wonder if this is one of them -

Also, the full-length versions of WOW's Apollo & Anything but You (the instrumental) didn't ever get properly released, did they?

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.

Yeah, I've been after all of the tracks mentioned in this thread and a plethora of others I heard over the years; then I go to Beatport and ask myself how half the garbage on there sees the light of day.

This is the specific track I was talking about...and yes, was referring to the Essential Mix (I think). I actually heard the orginal Knights of Columbus on Pandora today which prompted my search.

try getting in touch with the specific remixer in this case,
if it's not (like Steve said) meant only for "big DJs" then he might help you out with having the song if you want it that much.. i guess 6 months of playing by Diggers and simillar faces makes it old enough so it should not be kept as some kind of a secret anymore..

Still waiting for Breeder's Carnival XIII to be released, BUT after 9 years I'm not holding my breath.
