    Les Claypool and Matisyahu

Last night I went to see Matisyahu and Claypool and it was just simply amazing.

I never really heard or listened to Matisyahu b4 but was impressed. He was an exeptional lyrysist...and also showed some rapping skills and beatboxed.
His new band is a Mixtruer of reggae a hint of metal and alot of psycedelia.

claypool...there isnt enough i can say about that man. the best way i can describe les is the jimi hendrix of bass. not to bash edm at all makes me realize how much more fufilling a live show is.

for those who have the chance... i highly highly recommend going to see les claypool ...he is a bit excentric and some get annoyed with his vocals but his music and playing ablity is like no other.

Matisyahu has been a favourite for a while now..first time I heard him was on a track by P.O.D. - I love reggae influenced metal/rock and he certainly know how to bring it.

Definitely on my list to see live.
Fave album - Live at Stubbs.

I'll need to check out Les Claypool, haven't heard of him.

Matisyahu opened up for 311 a couple years ago. never heard of them before that but i really enjoyed their music. i wouldn't mind seeing them again some time.

true. they broke up in 2000 though. he has played with several different bands since and is really now categroized as a "jam band"

i dug primus for a while, but nothing matched seeing them live. claypoole is a born showman. sounds like he still rocks the house. i probably won't ever pick up another of his albums but the man is worth seeing live whoever it's with...

claypool is one of those guys along with Matisyahu that the cds dont do the justice. There live performances are where its at. Les has to be the best bass guitarist on earth. the innovative things he does with that instrument is mind bogling.
