Vision presents:

JOHNNY CHAOS

The new millennium brought with it an evolution in the electronic music scene in Chicago, and Johnny Chaos was on its forefront. Holding down over 20 DJ residencies including Vision, Spy Bar, Sound-Bar, and Crobar, his name was synonymous with the hottest nights and the freshest vibes. His deliverance of solid sets combined with his notorious crowds kept him in high demand. Whenever a new club opened or a new promotion launched, Johnny was on board. As the popularity of theater shows grew, Johnny was on stage - playing every theater venue in Chicago, next to every top DJ in the game!

However, it wasn't long before his demand spread beyond Chicago. Playing over 30 cities on 3 continents and counting - Johnny is steadily leaving crowds wondering what just hit them, and yearning for more! Known for his supreme programming skills, Chaos' musical voyages meander through chunky, brooding tracks with pulsating baselines that feed eager ears, seamlessly weaving the fringes of electro and techno alike, building into techy-house explosions that feverishly catapult crowds into fist-pumping frenzies!

In 2007, after attending his 6th Winter Music Conference, the siren's call of Miami overcame Johnny and he relocated to South Beach. Although he is planting his musical seeds in the South East, he still considers Chicago his home and cherishes his trips back to rock its dance floors!
"There is no place like Chicago for me. When I am on stage and I see my friend's smiling faces in the crowd, I feel like the luckiest guy on earth!" ~JC

RJ PICKENS

Hailing from schools of progressive, house, breaks, and incorporating some elements of trance, RJ is no stranger to the politics of dancing. He's been a musician for pretty much all his life, beginning with classical music training in both piano and guitar. As he grew older and more mature, so did his musical tastes. Being from the Chicago area, he's been brought up around house music, but he didn't realize just how powerful dance music could be until he heard his first Chemical Brothers record in 1994. The rest, as they say, is history.

RJ has made himself a nice home in the Chicago electronic music circuit as a resident DJ with VISION. He's also called notable places such as SPYBAR and SOUND-BAR home in the past. As a result, he's gotten to share the decks with the finest of global talent.

The energy-building and crowd-reading abilities that RJ has honed over the years, have lead him to share billings with: Paul Van Dyk, John Digweed, Luke Fair, Armin Van Buuren, Dave Seaman, Second Sun, Markus Schulz, Gabriel & Dresden, Paul Oakenfold, Sandra Collins, Kenneth Thomas, Jerry Bonham, Infected Mushroom, Hernan Cattaneo, Steve Porter,Matt Darey, Taylor, Ferry Corsten, Montana, Matthew Dekay, Benny Benassi, Seb Fontaine, Filo & Peri, 16bit Lolitas, Blank& Jones, Ricky Ryan (Can Costa), Angelo Mike, Rank1, Jennifer Rene, Phynn, Sander Van Doorn, and the list continues to grow...

...and he continues to deepen his roots within the flourishing scene in Chicago.
Keep an eye on this one. He's up to no good, in a great way.

WAHI

In what we have come to know as the ever-changing world of electronic dance music, Wahi is a man on the rise. He resists conforming to genres and refuses to label his work. As a DJ, his track selections are often audacious and brazenly fresh, challenging the audience towards expansion of their listening vocabulary as he simultaneously herds them onto the dance floor time and again. With the recent launch of his digital label Curbed Recordings and a residency playing beside some of the best artists in the world at Chicago’s Vision night club he’s definitely got his hands full. His resume includes opening for the likes of James Zabiela, MANDY, Steve Lawler and John Digweed who has been quoted as saying “Wahi is set to make a splash in 2009”,.

Trained in classical guitar as a child, it’s no wonder that once in high school his musical attention quickly shifted to the world of DJ culture. At the age of 21 he launched his DJ career playing Velvet in St Louis . After going on to play various clubs throughout Chicago, he emerged onto the global EDM scene through a relationship with Spundae in 2002.

Now an instrumental leader of the team that programs Chicago nightlife’s largest EDM shows, Milo feels he has barely begun his climb towards the top of the industry. In 2008 Wahi launched his digital label, Curbed Recordings and with the release of his track More Soul Please, he’s been getting plenty of plays and loads of attention from the worlds top DJ’s. Keeping busy, Wahi also hosts a monthly show on Proton Radio. At the pace he’s working his way up through the ranks of global DJ’s, the rest of us have only to sit back and watch his rise to the top.
