Carradine had a serious alcohol and substance abuse problem, which can cause or spiral into a depression. He's had some incredible high points in his career and has worked with the likes of Bergman, Scorcesse and Tarantino, but he's also spent a significant part of the 80's and 90's doing straight to video schlock.

i never liked this guy. i'm not glad he's dead or anything, but the fact that he stole the Kung Fu role from Bruce Lee + his stupid face and acting expression...yeah not shedding a tear he's gone. rigamortis is the last boner he had.

I'm a fan of the old Kun Fu programs and I don't think that Bruce Lee could have brought half of what David Carradine did to the role. Whenever Lee tried to do spirituality it was just plain laughable, and in the series the martial arts plays second fiddle a lot of the time.

Anyway - I don't think he committed suicide:
