hey, actually I just want to expres my opinion about the diference between the new and the past Guatemala. If nobody knows Guatemala has been in a lot of suffering between the civil war that was in the 1960's and after that the guerrilla war that ended with the peace signature that was made with one of the best presidents guatemala has ever had President Arzu in 1998, then came the worst goberment, with president Portillo, why was he the worst ever?? well I'll tell you why, first of all, Portillos right hand was ex president Rios Montt that that is concidered one of the worst genocides on history fo the world, and his whole congresmen were a bunch of thieves that did not want to do anything for there country, well actually I dont want to feell bored about this story since the change in last years presidency, a lot of things have been changed with a whole new presidency, now president Berger ex mayor of Guatemala, is traying to bring Guatemala back to its feet, with a whole new image of everybody working, and getting help from other countries, since he was named president the tourism in guatemala has incremented at least 40%, all of the exportation imporation has incremented to, actually a lot of countries are interested in making busines with Guatemala again because it has potential once again. if you have any cuestions about any of the subjects I just wrote about, email me. ok

Well it's nice to hear some inside information regarding politics in Southern/Central America. And I'm glad that things are improving in Guatemala. Hopefully other countries in South America will soon follow...We shall boldly dance, where no man has danced before..."Comment

A girl I know is doing her thesis on Rios Montt, I'm very curious on that. If you want a place to inform people in detail about your country, send me a private message.
