This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.
Thoughts? hmmm - it's absolute class Simon is my first thought. Been a big fan of Doves for a long time (and sasha of course) and saw them last month touring the new album - beautiful, really it was.
They opened with Jetstream and the crowd were mesmerised from then onwards - if ever a track (or maybe the band's whole vibe) lent itself to being given the Sasha treatment then i think all the ingredients are there. A sound with something special in that it's somehow heart-wrenching and uplifting at the same time, which is the mark of great music imo.
Sasha can deliver a remix like no-one else on his day and the result in this case is awesome- love it!!
Have to say that I like this mix. It's much different then the techy house he playes sometimes. This one is full of energy .

love the original. haven't heard the remix properly yet, but I would like him to deliver a mix of the standard that he reached with Jomanda - Never. I'm not normally a big vocals man but he can pull it off like no other. I used to play that in nearly every set, a mint intro to mix too.
