        Actually, looking around the webz, seems like this time it was Gore who sobered up, because supposedly Dave has been clean since ´Ultra´... so I guess that explains it...

            I read in the past Gore was always the better lyricist but Gahan had better stage charisma.

                Yeah, but Gore´s always been the main composer, the funny thing is that Gahan improved a lot as composer in the past few years, while Gore is now not as strong as before.
