Maybe in another two to three hundred years the uber-religious Neanderthals who run things over there will die off so that the nation can get some semblance of basic human rights and actually join the civilized world.

Hopefully the tyranny of the theocracy is coming to a head in Iran and we'll see long term change. At some point, the supreme leader will have to concede something or lose control completely.
