Chuck do you think this gives the Cavs enough to get over the proverbial hump? For Lebron's sake I hope so. That would be so sweet to see Shaq and D. Howard have to go head to head in the conference finals next year....
Or even better yet Lakers vs. Cavs in the finals. Kobe vs. Shaq and Lebron. Hello TV ratings!!!
I sure hope so. I think they have to win or they will lose lebron to another team. i think if he wins it all he will stay in cleveland for the rest of his career.
to tell you the truth the cavs gettin shaq has turned me from a casual observer to one who make take more interest in following them....lebron and shaq should be interesteng
I wonder what effect this will have on the great Lebron sweepstakes after next season? The Cavs best be prepared to offer him the biggest contract in the history of the NBA if they want to keep him.Sounds like alot of teams are ready to pony up for him BIG TIME.
can you imagine if the cavs get shaq and then lebron leaves? haha, that would be a big FAIL on the cavs behalf.
That's is very possible. Not to mention I believe the 1 year left on Shaq's contract puts the Cavs on the hook for something like $20M this year. Who knows if Shaq will retire after that cuz I doubt any GM in the league will be willing to give him another year with that level of pay.
Either way this trade should at least make things interesting. My only concern that in recent years Shaq hasn't really helped the teams he has played for all that much. Yes, he contributes but all indications from Phoenix are that he slowed and inhibited the Suns' and their abililty to run an offense. If I am playing the Cavs next year and Shaq is on the floor I am running up-tempo right down the floor to wear that fatass out. Just my two cents...
ya good luck with that.Don't think this will change much. Shaq is injury prone.Let's see how much of the season he'll actually play. The road to the NBA finals goes through Boston. With a healthy KG and the rest of the Celts it should be business as usual.

this is pretty exciting news for Cavs fans and there's certainly no question lebron and shaq will be incredibly entertaining to watch play for the same team...both of them are characters, have big personalities and are going to have good synergy together on the court.
Shaq on stage with Mike Brown and GM Danny Ferry. Shaq says "I couldnt remember who danny ferry was, so i googled him and this is what came up," this guy has got some sense of humor
