he was a pedophile - he abused young boys who couldn't defend themselves -
are you actually advocating in favor of child sexual abuse?
huggie when you can back your allegation up i will listen to you. yes he made wrong choices but can i ask you, are you a parent?

Well yes he was deeply troubled and i don't deny it. Yes he loved Children that does not mean he did anything with them. I love Dogs and i love my 2 labs i give them hugs and kisses all the time does not mean i have done anything with them. The wonderland thing is because he did not have the "NORMAL" childhood when he was young. Now that he has all this money he can do what he wants with it. In regards with his plastic surgery did he not have something done because he had a card accident or something? then it all fell apart. People get it done all the time. There is somethings i dont like about myself and if i did have the money yeah i would do the same. That does not make me any worse. Yes he did do some crazy things eg hang the baby out the window but people do crazy things all the time. It's only becuase it is Michael Jackson that people stand up and notice and Jealousy is such a evil thing.
I just feel really sad and sorry for him. I could tell by watching interviews with him he was a Kind loving person. RIP Michael you are in a better place now.
Anyway i am gonna go to bed. Good Night all and will be back tomorrow

When you settle out of court, the only person who is really "bribed" is the accuser. Why did the mother settle for several million instead of pushing for justice and seeing the man who allegedly molested her child behind bars so that he couldn't continue to harm other peoples' children? If we say that a truly innocent person should go to trial to prove his/her innocence at any cost, then why wouldn't we also expect a person convinced that their child was molested to want to go to trial to prove at any cost that this crime was in fact committed?
I'm not saying I know what the truth was in this case, but another way that settling out of court can look at times is extortion - from the side of the accuser. Why do you think people are so quick to sue in this country and businesses sometimes go to ridiculous lengths from a potential liability perspective to fend of frivolous lawuits ("WARNING: THIS COFFEE IS HOT")?
This is how I've always felt about the whole thing...... settling just doesn't sit very well for the accuser.

I don't have the transcripts from the trial - but if you heard the testimony of the boy who he was originally accused of molesting - it was very clear.
The prosecutors should have used that case as the one against MJ - not the one they actually prosecuted (altho the lawyers on the board may have a different view).
edit: here is sworn testimony from a kid who says jackson slept in the same bed with him, kissed him, jacked off in front of him
First I must say I’m a bit disappointed in the responses from some of you, some day you may realize that by showing such disrespect for someone actually points out how much you respect yourselves.
It makes me sad he died, I grew up with his music and because of him I went to a dance school and continued for 15 years, he was a true inspiration to me.
I was sad for him after his plastic surgeries went too far, and he knew he fucked up his face but it was too late to go back.
I read a psychological study he participated in awhile back and the conclusion in short was that he never managed to develop a sense of an adulthood which is logical for the reasons of being the most popular 8 year old in the world (and back then being a star/celebrity wasn’t so massive as today), having an abusive father and having the amount of money that a child couldn’t possibly have a common sense about, so the only place he felt safe about was the stage and the only people he felt safe to be with were other kids, and since he never knew how to be a grownup, his choice of a company was obvious but socially incorrect. The issue of safety is like the base line for your subconscious functioning in every circumstance, especially in early ages.
A true legend and great talent.

Music is essential for the expression of non material ideals and energies. Music colors our surroundings with emanations from the highest vibrational fields. It allows us to escape all limitations in our thinking and very existence.

Well put. But unfortunately this is a one really good description of how a paedophile is formed. Not that I am saying he was, I don't know that.
Also unfortunately, regardless of how pure his thoughts were, his actions would not have a good effect on the boys involved. Adult men in our society do not sleep with little boys they are not related to. He definitely used his position of power to find playmates, no matter how innocent.
I do feel incredibly sorry for the life he led, as I said earlier sad and tormented. I just hope that his sad life does not have any ongoing effects on the boys involved.
I seem to be saying this a lot lately, but respect is earn' t ! He gets enormous respect from me for his music. Enormous sadness for his life.
Btw Johns, the money and the life go together. Even with all the money in the world I would not want his life.
As is always the case ,it is the people who are left behind who feel the pain . So my condolences go to all of you who feel that pain.
Re the settling thing, it's probably a case of both being at fault, he did things that were not acceptable, but what the hell were the parents thinking !!! Has to be a bit of follow the money there. !
Just noticed I got some neg rep for this thread. Unsigned as usual with neg stuff. Courage, people, courage !!! Oh, hang on , ,maybe the ",ass" was their signature

i've followed the case heavily, and i fully believe he did totally inappropriate things with children. that you expect me to be respectful to a person like that is...i'm sorry to say, but total nonsense.
as has already been posted, watch the testimony from the first kid. you just KNOW he is telling the truth.
Btw Don't remember whether I have said this, but some of the people here that I most respect have a row of red rep, so rep probably says more about the people who leave it than anything else. Good or bad Have to say I like my green though
