Resident at Ben Watt's excellent Buzzin Fly night since the label's inception in 2003, the name Chris Woodward should be familiar to those in the know. This post has taken him all over Europe, supporting Ben Watt in a host of different countries as well as regular gigs in London. Not just a talented DJ, he recently released his first remix for the label, of L Kubic's 'Voyager', with support from Sasha to Jimpster and to critical acclaim. Here, he turns out release number 15 for us, which has been causing a bit of a stir. His original mix of Bombing is a cut of moody house with one eye firmly on the dancefloor; dark and driving, but at the same time possessing a deep edge that could see it played any time of the night.
Golden boy of techno, Marc Dosem puts his funky slant on the track for the remix. The young Catalan has been bubbling under for a while, but since his worldwide smash 'Beach Kisses' his stock has been steadily rising, with his subsequent signing to Sino, the label responsible for launching the careers of Technasia and Joris Voorn, paving the way for him to follow in their footsteps. He takes the track down an altogether different route to Chris's original mix; jazzy soulful techno that retains the punch of the original but injects a bit of warmth into it, along with a blissful female vocal.
