while i really dont dont work in criminal law, i can say that it will take a miracle (aka stupid loophole or a really dumb jury) for artest, jackson and oneill to get off the hook. if i was the DA of oakland county i would be shitting myself right now, b/c this is all on tape and he better get this right with live, public record of the incident. if he doesnt get at least a few verdicts, his career will seriously be hurting for not being able to put a 2 guys who were caught on video beating random people away.

1. artest. - assault, battery, criminal negligence, intent. insighting a riot. although he was provoked, he went after the wrong guy. twice.

2. jackson - from what i have seen i can see about 4-6 counts of battery on his case. also, he can get charged as an accomplise to artest if the DA has any common sense.

3. jermaine o neill. - will likely get off with a pleaded down aggraveted battery charge. he was technically defending himself(as a team) when he knocked the shit outta the guy

4. multiple spectators will be charged with criminal negligence, assault, battery, misdemeanor intent to cause harm, etc..

i work outta NY so the detriot penal code is a bit foreign to me. but these are absic legal charges in 49/50 states. (loiusiana operates under a different system--french common law)
