    Discogs

So i just opened a Paypal account and am thinking of buying records (not just any records) records i have wanted to have for years but cant find on mp3. My questions are these.

Does anyone on here use discogs to buy records?
Has anyone had any problems using dicogs?
What are your usernames so i can add u LOL?

My worry is either not getting what i have ordered or when it comes through it will be stuffed.

PS i just donated to ms to see if it works and it does

    Re: Discogs

If you pay with Paypall and they don't turn up you can claim the money back i think.

You must of donated a lot to get that rep power

...my suggestion is if you want to buy through discogs buy through http://www.discogs.com/user/evolvingrecords.com not only have i used this, i am neighbors with the guy who sells these records. he also has his own store, lovevinylrecords.com, which is referenced in his discogs account.

discogs is cool, i use it all the time to buy those rare ones i cant find anywhere else. eBay and gemm are also good for rare vinyls.

it depends. if you see the details of your order it should say when it will arrive. normally i would say from Uk to Aus, 2 weeks maximum!

As far as PAY PAL... fuck them!!! They're never on your side... LOST over a grand through them over the years on rare trainers and such. My best advice as far as payment is use your AMX if possible trough the stores site. Some sellers there have storefronts.

                  Best.

What really Paypall will stuff me around? So you recommend me putting it on my visa debit card? Can u suggest any stores?

I just had 2 very bad experiences with Pay Pal.... I've had 210 really great ones with them... What I'm saying is, just be weary of really expensive records, if you must have them... DEFO use AMX... otherwise Pay Pal should be fine. feel free to PM if you have any questions. Always here to help.

^^Were your bad Paypal experiences through Ebay?? They are usually more of a problem to sellers than buyers. I hate Paypal with a passion, but unfortunately on some sites they are all you can use!!

I would suggest that anyone who signs up for paypal read their terms and conditions really well.

Yes sir! some pikeys ripped me off on eBay. They totally lied, Pay Pal dragged their feet... when they finally realized I was telling the truth, the people were long gone. Never had an issue with Discogs or any of their sellers though.

Ebay and Paypal are a deadly combination !! The dragging the feet is a feature of it. They remove all history so they don't have to admit it happened. Here in Australia the banking ombudsman sorts them out sometimes.
